Below is the latest example of a seed pod forming that was the result of a cross between “Party Fun” and “Concord”.
Now grant it, not all crosses work or work 100% of the time. Just like any non-African violet attempt to pollinate two varieties success is not guaranteed. The question now becomes, is the pollination success rate between non-chimera African violets better then chimera African violets and if so what is the percentage differential if it exists? A nice little experiment that can taken on by someone.
