Granger Red and White Stripes

Granger Red and White Stripe chimera African violet was one of the first chimeras in my collection maybe 30 years ago.

It has large bright fuchsia red single star with a bold solid white stripe. The blooms are striking and the image above is a good representation of the actual color of the blooms. What is interesting is that this plant is not listed or registered in AVSA list of over 22,000 named African violet varieties which one finds in the AVSA First Class data base. I have lost track on the number of generations I have had over the decades, but have always made an effort to assure the blooms are consistent with the parent plant and I must say of all the chimeras I have worked with this chimera African violet is one of the most stable producing very few sports.
